  1. Certainly, developing countries in East Asia are growing faster than the west, but the EU has grown its GDP by 18% over the last 10 years, and the US has grown 56% in the same period, so none of these economies are falling, just growing slowly.

  2.  @Thefreenebula  "it's falling in real terms". It's not, western countries' currencies are quite strong and stable. The Euro to CNY is higher now than the average since 2007. The USD to CNY is also higher than the average since 2007. If you disagree, please present some data here.

  3. Why would that be scary? India and China already have a lot of cooperation with African countries, and the west already cooperates with all of them: India, China, African countries. So the future looks bright, with or without BRICS.
