Western countries should welcome Chinese automakers and other industries to invest, with the following conditions: -You can produce and sell here, but imports will face large tariffs. -You have to enter into a joint-venture with a local company of the same industry, and you can own up to 50% of the joint-venture. The local partner's 50% will be in the form of land and labor. Profits are shared 50/50. The local partner must run the HR department. -You must agree to technology transfer. These are the exact same conditions foreign firms faced in China in the 80s, 90s and 00s.
