It's so interesting how large ship building has moved over the decades from the west, to Japan, to Korea, and now to China. Where will they be built next?

@gluecksdrache2054 Well, at some stage, Chinese labor costs will rise so high that it will become cheaper to make the ships elsewhere. That's what happened in the other countries. It's also what has happened to the Chinese apparel and shoe industry. Jobs move to where the cost is low.

@gluecksdrache2054 That's not related to my question.

@qiyuxuan9437 Yes, I agree China will be the main ship building center for a long time. But eventually, it will move, because that's just a result of economic development. So either you keep the shipyards and don't get rich, or you get rich and the shipyards move elsewhere.

@guzilayerken5013 Well, in that case, the industry may move back to Japan, the most advanced country in industrial robotics and automation.

@guzilayerken5013 So, by your thesis, the world has seen tremendous change over the centuries, but that is going to end and going forward, everything will remain as it is now. Brilliant!
