This may look like a very low number, but we have to take into account how many people there are: If we assume that the average age of marriage is 27 for women, then there are only 7.5 million women of that age in 2024. If the second half of 2024 presents as many marriages as the first, we will end up with 6.8 million marriages, 90% of the possible maximum. So all in all, it should not be a big surprise.

  2. Singapore does a lot, but even then they still suffer from population decline. The Total Fertility Rate in Singapore is now down to 1.1, the lowest they have ever had.

  3.  @ayamasakya4196  That's true. In fact, we don't know if all those perks have any impact at all. Many European countries do it, too. Nobody know what works.
