  1. Although I agree with the bicycle part, China's population is now on the decline, so what you see as a problem is now slowly being solved, at least in China.

  2.  @ck-bs2ms  I know, though not on as many streets as I would like. My experience is mostly from Shanghai where several of the main roads are closed to bicycles. Additionally, about 10 years ago, they started allowing cars to stop, or even park, in the bicycle lanes.
