When businesses invest in other countries, there are some basic requirements they look at: -Is the business environment stable? -Are laws and regulations easy to understand and follow? -Is it easy and quick to start and operate a business? -Is the market fully open to them? -Are they treated the same as local businesses? -Can they easily take their profits out of the country? Whatever speeches the country's leader makes is much less important.

@schivver "by your standards the US is a no no". Not only is the US a BIG YES by the standards listed, but the numbers prove that out, with the US being a bigger recipient of FDI than China since the beginning of time.

@HoldMyCowsberg "Sounds like you're giving 🇮🇳 a lecture". It applies to all countries, including India, China and any other country that wishes to attract FDI.

@shktxy3 "humiliating business partners after inviting them your country". Did China humiliate business partners? What are you referring to?

@HoldMyCowsberg "exceptionism applies?" What is 'exceptionism'?

@shktxy3 "biden called him dictatoor". Yes, I saw that. How did you feel about that?

@HoldMyCowsberg "Now I shall wait your response ". But my question to you is: What is exceptionalism? What do Americans think it means? What do you think it means? I don't exactly know what it means.

@HoldMyCowsberg Let's discuss the topic you brought up: Exceptionalism. Let's not discuss me or you personally.

@muhammadfayiz3243 That may all be true, but it doesn't have anything to do with the criteria foreign companies look for.

@stuartkilby2751 Ok, but we're nowhere close to such a scenario. All the stuff you see on the news about a possible armed conflict between the US and China is mostly just speculation. None of the two countries have any interest in armed conflict and they will both go to very great lengths to avoid it. They are each other's top business partners, why throw that away?
