  1. Since the beginning, the clock has never turned back. In other words, these 'concerned scientists' believe the world has become increasingly dangerous, day by day, year by year. At the same time, we can actually measure the data and see that the world has become safer, richer, more peaceful, healthier and just better and better. This clock shows more than anything the scientists' bias toward a doomsday delusion. As time goes on and the clock moves toward 1 second to midnight, I predict that they will simply start counting hundreds of a second: The Doomsday clock is now only 57 hundreds of a second to midnight. Keep up the scare mongering at all costs.
