United Nations Population Division predicts that Indonesia's population will never get as big as that of the US. Indonesia's population will peak in 2067 at 337 million and then slowly decline. By that year, the US population will be 400 million. These numbers could change depending on immigration. If Indonesia allows millions of people to immigrate to the country, it will continue growing.

@esashaik1372 It's not something I'm saying, it's the United Nations. And they base their calculations on the number of children people have in Indonesia and in the US, plus the number of people immigrating into the US every year. If Indonesian people have more children, then you're right. If they have fewer children, then you're wrong.

@esashaik1372 That's true, but neither you or I can know for sure what will happen in the future. But we do know that Indonesia's Total Fertility Rate (the number of children an average woman will have) has been falling steadily for decades and is now at 2.1. Any fewer children and the population will eventually decline, but it will not happen for at least 30 years.
