  1. The big laggards here are clearly European NATO members. We really need to raise our game in a hurry and increase our defense spending to at least 2%, and preferably 2.5% or higher. Europe also needs to build up a considerable stockpile of weapons so we can be ready when duty calls.

  3.  @wingkeungkong415  We are like Harvard University: Many people apply, and we will take every application under consideration, but we cannot accept every applicant. However, we do not discriminate based on where you're from, east or west, north or south.

  4.  @wingkeungkong415  I don't think you understand what 'applicant' means. Other countries apply to join, NATO does not go out and ask other countries to join. And even when countries apply they are not always accepted. Just look at Sweden and Finland who have applied to join NATO. They have still not been accepted. What Russia and China does is their business. What we do is our business.
