  1. "Chinese EV makers face European Union tariffs up to 38%". It's both true and not true: EVs made in China face these tariffs. But EVs made by Chinese companies in Thailand, for example, would not face the tariffs. At the same time, EVs made by European companies in China would also face the same tariffs.
