Yes, there does seem to be a clash between the ideal, the romance of living in an ancient Mediterranean mountain village, and then actually having to live there, with very few shops, restaurants, things to do, and few neighbors.

"A lot of people refer to this as a revival. I prefer to see it as a renaissance". Well, they basically mean the same thing: Revival, from Latin revivere = to live again. Renaissance, French = to be born again.

With the new body positivity movement that shows us that you can be healthy and beautiful at any size, why diet at all? Let them eat cake!

@veragesouthernmama5734 Let's hope so, because they sound the same to me, though I'll grant that one could be a dead person rising from the grave like Jesus, where the other is a dead person getting reborn, like a Hindu or a Buddhist.

@italico3222 Doesn't matter. I'm talking about the word 'renaissance'. It is a French word, and now also used in English and some other languages. As far as I know, the Italian word 'Rinascimento' is only used in Italian. Different languange, different word, not the one I'm talking about.
