  3. I find it highly unlikely that Xi should be losing power. His power is more secure than ever. Every person in the Standing Committee is hand-picked by him, most people in the Politbureau are hand-picked by him, almost every military leader is hand-picked by him, there simply are no other power centers in the party top. Where should any threat to him come from?
