CBS editorial meeting: "Ok, how much should we dumb this down to make it interesting for what we're sure are our very stupid viewers? Let's have a man with a hammer destroying household electronics and the camera zooming in on circuit boards." CBS, you have a chance to raise the knowledge of your viewers. Grasp that chance.

Any Dutch people here who can explain what Van Der Bilt means? 'From the bilt'? But what's a bilt?

@wendyweaver8749 Very interesting! Thank you, Wendy :-)

@teathpaste3301 We've lived with microchips in our lives for over 4 decades now. It's time we all raise our knowledge level about these devices. Talk as if viewers understand the difference between designing, fab'ing and packaging. Talk like viewers understand the difference between logic chips and memory chips.

@WYLTK-r5q My point is that you seem to view your own career as noble and just, while this art dealer is some sort of bad person, simply because he has become extremely successful at his job. Surely there are many other art dealers who make very little money. Are they better people than Gagosian? Is that the benchmark?
2
@WYLTK-r5q Yes, I'll agree with that. Teaching does more to further the general public’s love and understanding of art. But the dealer has a role to play in art, too. After all, artists want to sell their art and they need an outlet. A dealer will often have a much bigger network of potential buyers than the artist does.

I'm Danish. I love licorice, even the salty kind. But I really dislike the brand shown in this video. Salty licorice and milk chocolate together, eww! People give me these 'luxury' Bulow licorices as gifts, but I 're-gift' them immediately. Disgusting!

Why did this segment suddenly veer into 'cyber warfare' as if it was a given? There are a number things Russia could do. Cyber attacks are just one of them.

And those who win the big Power Ball lottery, should they also not be allowed to keep them? After all, just like the lottery, there is a certain element of luck in creating those gigantic fortunes. Hard work, smart work, yes, but also some luck.

It's very sad with all these time honored restaurants that have to close. But as the Chinese say: 旧的不去,新的不来 = "If the old doesn't go, the new won't come." I have hope that this pandemic can eventually result in a rejuvenation of several different industries in America.

How do they launder the money to buy the art in the first place? You can't just come in with a suitcase full of cash these days. It will have to be accounted for in some way.

In the stock market, most people make the correct trade 50% of the time, and the wrong trade 50% of the time. A few people make the correct trade 90% of the time, and a tiny few make the correct trade 99% of the time. Those last people end up becoming 'investment experts' or gurus. The rest we never hear about.

They forgot to mention how delicious eels are, fried or smoked, hot or cold.

If you only make $30,000 a year, you can't be a very good artist, which is why you had to turn to educating people about art instead. That's a noble profession, but it is no more valid than the profession of dealing and selling the art works.

Seems to me that commenters hate this guy because he has made a lot of money dealing art. If the interview had been with a dealer who onlu just manages to scrape by, commenters would probably praise him. It's completely irrational.
