  1. Modern stone masons do precision work by hand (using tools and technices Socrates might have felt familiar with). Reason being: stone is a natural material, therefore it has natural variations. And humans are much better at adapting to them, then machines. PS i wonder what erosion would make of "Laser precision".

  3.  @manbearpig710  hahaha inside a cave is protected from most erosion (incidently: have those creators left any plan to compare to?). When exposed to the weather even Granite will erode, especialy over the long time proposed.
