@bremnersghost948 we know that Gobekli Tepe is in Anatolia, where agriculture developed much earlier then in Europe. Plus a settlement of Gobekli Tepes size would have been way to small to stand against a Empire the size Plato described for Atlantis.

By having the Story beeing presented to (his self insert?) Socrates, rather then using Socrates as the narator (like in the Republic) Plato distances himself from the Tale. Almost as if he feared such a tall and implausible Tale could tarnish his Reputation.🤔

@pcatful pottery can actualy last that long. There are clay figurines from ice age tribes after all. It's just that all the "lost" civilisations are missing in between all the archeological evidence, as if they never existed in the first place.
