  31.  @_TbT_  going back a decade is hardly a practical Policy. Nor does it explain where to build all the renewable powerplants. And most important: renewables are most subsidised not most affordable.

  32.  @_TbT_  well your original comment told us what we should have done in the past (but evidently didnt) to solve our present problems. So you would need time travel to implement nowadays policies in the past. (And yes i'm sarcastic) As for your later suggestions: while beeing less ScyFy, they still involve technology that does not exist yet. As for your Hydroelectric solution: well technically possible, but on what River? The Ob? The Amur? And if there was no war in Ukraine, we wouldnt need to react to the war in Ukraine. Or in short: get realistic.

  33.  @_TbT_  no you are not realistic. You are escapist. Starting with your change of the subject, from imanent (in the comming Winter) energie shortage, to generic climate alarmism. You also refused to explain where exactly you would want to build additional Hydropower. Here in Germany we simply dont have any places left to build more. Germany also invested heavily in renewables, to replace both nuclear and coal power. And that's exactly the reason we are so dependent on Russia. Neither wind nor solar are sufficient, or reliable enough for our Energie needs. And as for all the allternatives you are sugesting: they exist as prototypes at best. And not particular successfull ones. See there is a reason why they havent been adopted: they just dont Work. BTW have you ever wondered why there was no rush to go to renewables if (as you claimed) they where A the cheapest source of Energie and B technologicaly possible since decades?

  34.  @_TbT_  and how was it killed? Certainly not by cuting any subsidies, that the (suposedly) cheapest source of energy would of course dont need. Just like solar panels wont need sunshine, or windturbines will work without wind and hydroelectric plants wont need rivers. At least thats what you seem to think.
