To my knowledge the US chapter of the Russian Orthodox Church declared Independence in 43, because the Patriarchy in Moscva praised Stalin. Not to mention the (ab)use of Church Offices in Jerusalem for espionage.

  7. Considering the long standing (as in: since the 1600s) territorial disputes between Moscov and Beijing this is very posible. Just think of their inofficial wars around 1970.
