  1. 2:39 Lemuria was a half baked 19th attempt to explain why Lemures live in Madagaskar and India but not in the countries in between. So scientists wondered if there once was a continent that then sunk under the ocean. That was of course before plate tectonics was discovered. However the concept of Lemuria struck a cord with Atlantis believers and became a common part of pseudo science beliefs.
