  1. Given that Nations need to exist in the first place, to do whatever one wants them to do, one could see this the other way around. Hamas egoisticaly put their local power play over the collective interest. What i have in mind: Egypt depends on the River Nile for survival. Therefore current troubles in Sudan and more pressing Damm Projects in Ethiopia are way to important to spare any effort for Palestinian fantasies.
