@aquanick2001 Actually, if Putin was left to invade the Ukraine, and the 'west' did nothing, do you really think it would end there? Putin would be emboldened at NATO's impotence. He would invade the rest of Europe. You can't turn your back on a bully.

@aquanick2001 None of 'us' really know what Putin wants. I don't think Europe wants to appear weak. Why take the risk? Putin only respects strength.
