Β @raresboghean2974Β In Vietnam, the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong lost 1,100,000 fighters. The US lost 58,220. So, militarily, that's not a loss/failure for the US.
In Cuba, Kennedy calling Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev 'bluff', worked. The Soviet Union removed their missiles from Cuba. Not a failure for the US.
Incidentally, the Soviet Union, later acknowledged placing missiles in Cuba, was a mistake. Not a failure for the US.
The US was in Afghanistan for 20 years, during that time, it lost 2,324 military personal. The Taliban losses were 52,893+. Not a failure for the US.
Interestingly, the soviet Union lost 15,000 soldiers in 10 years, and managed to kill 2 Million Afghan civilians. Big loss for Soviet Union.
In Iraq, the US lost 4,431 military personnel, the Iraqi army lost between an estimated 8,000 - 50,000 military personnel Not a failure for the US.
In Syria, the US lost 108 military personnel. Syrian military and police deaths 91,929β104,332. Not a failure/loss for the US.
In Yugoslavia, the US lost 10 soldiers, The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) was established by the United Nations in response to mass atrocities and war crimes against various ethnic groups taking place in Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia and Macedonia.
Unfortunately, In 2002 former Serbian President Slobodan MiloΕ‘eviΔ was charged by the ICTY with committing Crimes Against Humanity and genocide. He died of a heart attack in custody before a verdict could be reached. Not a failure for the US.
By the way, I'm NOT American.
