Why are you lying? Russia is supported by: China, Iran, Syria, Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea, India etc and it's SUPPOSED to be a 'Superpower'! It's 28 times bigger, than the country it INVADED! America lend/lease totalling $11.3 billion, or $180 billion in today's currency, the Lend-Lease Act of the United States supplied needed goods to the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1945 in support of what Stalin described to Roosevelt as the “enormous and difficult fight against the common enemy — bloodthirsty Hitlerism.” During World War II, the Soviet Union received almost 15,000 U.S.-built aircraft under the lend-lease program. About half of these were delivered by sea via the North Atlantic or were flown across the South Atlantic Ocean to the USSR via North Africa. By the end of June 1944 the United States had sent to the Soviets under lend-lease more than 11,000 planes; over 6,000 tanks and tank destroyers; and 300,000 trucks and other military vehicles.

@stephenwood6663 No, Putin isn't considered an historian. I didn't claim, or even infer, he was. If you had read my post carefully, you would have understood the point I was making, was quite obviously, 'tongue in cheek'. Clearly, subtlety is wasted on you. 'Well, not until Putin admitted, that Russia would have been defeated without the US, lend-lease programme!' Putin doesn't need to be an historian. However, he clearly understands his country. So, making the above comment (acknowledging the defeat, if it were not for American support) seems perfectly reasonable, if somewhat unlikely. Only unlikely due to Putin's current poor relationship with west, and the owing of any gratitude towards the west as being seen as undesirable.
