It's not an American 'occupation', Germany are part of NATO. Guess they enjoy that protection, too.

@evryatis9231 WRONG! If you were correct, why is there a need for NATO? Strength in numbers, that is why. That's basic defence strategy, I'm surprised you didn't understand it.

@evryatis9231 You couldn't be more wrong. With the invasion of Ukraine, NATO is more important than ever. Looks like Sweden & Finland agree. NATO doesn't 'need' to dominate or control Europe, it's a defensive alliance.

@MC-in8mc You obviously don't understand what the term 'Occupation' means, by using it in this context. 'Control & possession of hostile territory that enables an invading nation to establish military government against an enemy or martial law against rebels or insurrectionists in it's own territory'. This definition is easily found on the internet. I shocked you didn't do some 'research' first.....or at least have a clue as to what you are talking about. 😂

@MC-in8mc NO. NATO was set up to 'counter' possible aggression from the 'Warsaw pact' It was done to secure peace in Europe. NATO was set up in 1949, Germany JOINED in 1955. You seem not to have the slightest clue, what you are talking about.

@evryatis9231 Okay, let me explain, because you OBVIOUSLY don't understand. NATO is a defensive alliance. NATO is expanding because of the threat from Russia. If Russia had not invaded Ukraine, I doubt Finland & Sweden would have joined, with such haste. May I suggest, you don't involve yourself in 'conversation', when you don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. You make yourself look, dare I say it?, unintelligent.
