  1. You might also want to use white for infinity, whether that infinity is positive, negative, or complex.

  2. I think I found another flaw in your equation solver. If a winding number for a particular region is undefined, treat it as though it had a non-zero winding number, or you will miss some of the roots you are looking for, as was the case with z⁵ - z - 1 = 0.
