  5. It does NOT work that way. Public transit is NOT supposed to be profitable. Only carbrains would argue otherwise. Trying to make public transit profitable will only succeed in putting more cars on the road. You need to realize that taxation tries to benefit society as a whole. But unfortunately, the ultra-rich do not want to share their benefits because they do not want to share their wealth.
