@pamelajaye Honestly, they just think Ukraine's interests aren't their interests and while they might be selfish, they're also right. The US isn't sending military aid to Ukraine out of generosity and belief in democracy and the rule of law. They're doing it to fuck over a geopolitical rival. That's great value as far as Congress is concerned, but does the average working Joe see any benefit to his tax dollars being used that way? That money could've been used to fund projects in his local community but instead it's been sent halfway across the world to fund a grand game of chess he can't comprehend. The appeal of isolationism and "America First" suddenly becomes clear.
