@stephenhill545 It's disappointing to see people indulge in knee-jerk tribalism. Cynic that I am, I don't think most people understand or care about politics beyond convincing themselves they're backing the correct team.

@engineerskalinera Governments used COVID as an excuse to pass authoritarian legislation they never could've gotten away with in normal times, e.g. the Policing Act in the UK. The second a government declares a state of emergency, you're fucked. They'll never willingly hand emergency powers back.
