@tim3172 You have the benefit of anonymity. Why don't you tell us your favorite movies, music, clothing, whatever? That way we can drag you over irrelevant nonsense and see how you like it.

@Entropy_Wins_4476 Those "facts" were irrelevant to the crime. There was no reason to report them except to stir up shit. I've said it already, but I'll say it again. It's just really, really bad journalism. Let's say you start a company that makes "Entropy" brand clothing and I decided to do something terrible tomorrow, wearing your shirt. Let's say the media put a spotlight on you, and that encouraged society's worst to accuse you of being somehow responsible, encouraged society's worst to harass people close to you. Do you think that's fair, just so the media can report an irrelevant "objective fact"? Good journalism is responsible - dragging Matt into this mess for the Hell of it is not responsible!

@Entropy_Wins_4476 You're either trolling or you're extremely online and looking for an excuse to rake someone's name through the mud for cheap political points. The shooter's choice of shirt had nothing to do with his actions. Matt's videos are not political and have noting to do with what the shooter did. The shooter's choice of shirt that particular day is irrelevant to the crime, and there was no point reporting on it. It tells us nothing. The only reason to mention it is as an excuse to drag innocent guy's name through the mud. I'm not surprised, in our political climate, that amoral journalists did just that. However, you shouldn't descend to that level as well. You should exercise better judgment, you should exercise empathy - you should be the best person you can be and not fall to the level of the worst people around you.

@Efreeti You gave your own comment a thumbs-up didn't you lol

@NTAD Yeah, a democracy requires a press that is just not free but exercises its freedom responsibly. Gossip ain't in the public interest. I wish more people understood that.

@MrAgentEcho A certain Austrian painter was fond of dogs. That means anyone that owns a pet dog supports the Austrian painter's politics. That's the level of logic we're working with here.

@DarthVader-1701 I can believe it. Online wokelords have a lot of free time for some reason...

Gotta love muzzle brakes. They tame recoil alright... but the muzzle blast is absolutely Biblical.

I don't think this is a case of poorly-thought out but sincerely intended rules. I think this is a deliberate attempt to force "ideologically suspect" creators off the platform.

@SuperStruct By your logic the Vz.58 (which shares no parts with the AKM) is an AK but an AMD-65 (which shares about 60% of its parts with the AKM) isn't. Personally I care about the mechanics. A lot of people think the AK's design is a copy of the StG-44. It isn't. The AK's action is basically an upside-down, shortened M1 Garand action. The AK only resembles the StG visually. The PTRS-41 is another example. It's basically a giant SKS, although it doesn't really look its little brother.

@justdadstuff5171 Mass shootings did not happen in the USA before the 1950s and were still very rare before the 1990s. It's not the proliferation of firearms that's the problem, it's the collapse of the social order and the media's sociopathic "if it bleeds it leads" mentality giving shooters the publicity they crave and inspiring others to do the same. Also, the Netherlands is a tiny, highly urbanized country so your opinion on gun laws isn't relevant to a huge country with substantial rural expanse like the USA. Europeans don't know dick about guns; Americans don't know dick about state healthcare. Let's stay in our lanes here.

@prashangpurbachhane1093 You just know these guys have never field-stripped a firearm in their lives

@cucuawe465 Magazines are one of the hardest parts of a firearm to get right. The geometry has to be perfect; lots of trial and error to make sure they work right. This is why most craft-built ("improvised") firearms are single-shot OR use pre-existing magazines. Heck, a lot of production firearms use a standard pattern of magazine (A lot of rifles use AR-pattern magazines; a lot of pistols and pistol-caliber carbines use Glock-pattern magazines.)

@tim3172 Channel is 10 years old. All your comments are political. Username is "name + random digits". You strike me as a bought account used for political shilling.

@positiveecho326 PewDiePie is... honestly the reincarnation of Yukio Mishima lmao

@uncletiggermclaren7592 You know, the scare quotes around "humour" makes it sound like you're making a threat.
1
@lilkitkittu2709 No reason to report it except to stir up shit. See my other comments. It is not good journalistic practice to expose an innocent man's family to harassment just so you can report something that is irrelevant (and therefore not in the public interest).
1
@grant1133 Journalists reporting on it expose Matt and his family to harassment, and it's not like the choice of T-shirt is meaningful. No good reason to report it, it's not in the public interest. Do note the difference between "in the public interest" and merely "interests the public".
1
@sukhvindermangat1087 Log off. I'm serious, you are actually deranged. Matt's channel is apolitical. You are dragging someone over some shit you made up in your own head.
1
@winspyy Also, I never said journalists were "not allowed" to do anything. I said they should exercise responsibility. You are putting words in my mouth - that's what we call a strawman. Can you see the difference between those two things? If not, you ought to brush up on your reading comprehension.
1
@lilkitkittu2709 You're pretending neutrality but your politics are showing through the tone of what you're writing. If you're gonna be anti-2A be honest about it. And don't do it here. It's not the right venue for it.
1
@uncletiggermclaren7592 A "scare quote" is where you put a word in quotes in order to change the meaning. Your humor is edgy vs. Your "humour" is edgy. The second suggests the person you're talking to isn't funny - or isn't joking. You might not perceive that but many others will. It's a feature of how people use English. And now you know how to avoid giving people the "wrong idea".
1
@lilkitkittu2709 In this community everything is a potential PR disaster. The sharks are always looking for blood in the water. It isn't paranoia if they actually are out to get you...
1
@tim3172 You're some anonymous jackoff on the Internet. Let's make this fair. Tell us about your hobbies, your favorite music, films, etc. That way we can find irrelevant things to drag you for and see how you like it.

@BO-hh8mj Makes sense. The AK is a first-generation assault rifle. Stoner's AR-10 prototypes came a whole 10 years later, and the AR-15 emerged after another 5 years of development. The net result? A lighter rifle firing a lighter, higher-velocity cartridge with an operating system designed to allow the rifle to recoil directly backwards without pivoting, better sights and much better ergonomics. Honestly, it's not even fair to compare the AR-15 to the AKM as most people do. The fair comparison would be AR-15 to AK-74. The Soviets realized the small, high-velocity cartridge was the way to go. That closes the gap a little, but the AR is still the better rifle.

@SuperStruct You can't have a normal-sized buttstock on a .50 BMG rifle because the bolt is huge and it needs to travel to the rear, so the action overhangs behind the grip. If you had a regular wooden AK buttstock then the length of pull would be insane, you'd need massive gorilla arms to hold it comfortably.
1
@SuperStruct The sharply-angled gas block and the pistol grip shape are classic AK. And internally, it really is just a giant AK. You can't have a regular AK buttstock on this thing because the length of pull would be ridiculous. The bolt's massive, it has to travel to the rear so the action overhangs way past the pistol grip. That's why it has a bullpup-style stock like the Barrett.

That's no accident.

@persianpwr This has got nothing to do with anything but what's your take on what's going on in Iran? I only listen to political opinions from jacked dudes, it's never failed me before
1
@persianpwr Nah that's all good. I know most Iranians living in the US don't like Iran's government, a lot of them actually left when the Revolution happened, right? I know Iran's government system is weird af, there's the Ayatollah but also the Prime Minister and they kinda share power. Looks like the new Prime Minister is a reformist but I doubt Khameini's gonna let him change things too much. But Khameini's old af now so who knows. Don't know what's gonna happen when Khameini dies. I'm just interested in Iran because it's a very old country, very long history, very distinct culture. Would like to visit some time.
