Comments by "R" (@rdrrr) on "The Trump Shooter was Wearing My Shirt..." video.
@tim3172 You have the benefit of anonymity. Why don't you tell us your favorite movies, music, clothing, whatever? That way we can drag you over irrelevant nonsense and see how you like it.

@Entropy_Wins_4476 Those "facts" were irrelevant to the crime. There was no reason to report them except to stir up shit. I've said it already, but I'll say it again. It's just really, really bad journalism. Let's say you start a company that makes "Entropy" brand clothing and I decided to do something terrible tomorrow, wearing your shirt. Let's say the media put a spotlight on you, and that encouraged society's worst to accuse you of being somehow responsible, encouraged society's worst to harass people close to you. Do you think that's fair, just so the media can report an irrelevant "objective fact"? Good journalism is responsible - dragging Matt into this mess for the Hell of it is not responsible!

@Entropy_Wins_4476 You're either trolling or you're extremely online and looking for an excuse to rake someone's name through the mud for cheap political points. The shooter's choice of shirt had nothing to do with his actions. Matt's videos are not political and have noting to do with what the shooter did. The shooter's choice of shirt that particular day is irrelevant to the crime, and there was no point reporting on it. It tells us nothing. The only reason to mention it is as an excuse to drag innocent guy's name through the mud. I'm not surprised, in our political climate, that amoral journalists did just that. However, you shouldn't descend to that level as well. You should exercise better judgment, you should exercise empathy - you should be the best person you can be and not fall to the level of the worst people around you.

@NTAD Yeah, a democracy requires a press that is just not free but exercises its freedom responsibly. Gossip ain't in the public interest. I wish more people understood that.

@MrAgentEcho A certain Austrian painter was fond of dogs. That means anyone that owns a pet dog supports the Austrian painter's politics. That's the level of logic we're working with here.

@tim3172 Channel is 10 years old. All your comments are political. Username is "name + random digits". You strike me as a bought account used for political shilling.

@positiveecho326 PewDiePie is... honestly the reincarnation of Yukio Mishima lmao

@uncletiggermclaren7592 You know, the scare quotes around "humour" makes it sound like you're making a threat.

@lilkitkittu2709 No reason to report it except to stir up shit. See my other comments. It is not good journalistic practice to expose an innocent man's family to harassment just so you can report something that is irrelevant (and therefore not in the public interest).
1
@grant1133 Journalists reporting on it expose Matt and his family to harassment, and it's not like the choice of T-shirt is meaningful. No good reason to report it, it's not in the public interest. Do note the difference between "in the public interest" and merely "interests the public".

@sukhvindermangat1087 Log off. I'm serious, you are actually deranged. Matt's channel is apolitical. You are dragging someone over some shit you made up in your own head.

@winspyy Also, I never said journalists were "not allowed" to do anything. I said they should exercise responsibility. You are putting words in my mouth - that's what we call a strawman. Can you see the difference between those two things? If not, you ought to brush up on your reading comprehension.

@lilkitkittu2709 You're pretending neutrality but your politics are showing through the tone of what you're writing. If you're gonna be anti-2A be honest about it. And don't do it here. It's not the right venue for it.

@uncletiggermclaren7592 A "scare quote" is where you put a word in quotes in order to change the meaning. Your humor is edgy vs. Your "humour" is edgy. The second suggests the person you're talking to isn't funny - or isn't joking. You might not perceive that but many others will. It's a feature of how people use English. And now you know how to avoid giving people the "wrong idea".

@lilkitkittu2709 In this community everything is a potential PR disaster. The sharks are always looking for blood in the water. It isn't paranoia if they actually are out to get you...

@tim3172 You're some anonymous jackoff on the Internet. Let's make this fair. Tell us about your hobbies, your favorite music, films, etc. That way we can find irrelevant things to drag you for and see how you like it.
