God I hate the term "content creator". It's such a perfect description of what these goons do, they create "content" - not art, not expression, not even entertainment, just time-wasting "content" to rot your brain to. For a while, the Internet was the Wild West, an unregulated, murky, often distressing mire of shit - but it was an authentic, wildly creative mire of shit. Now it's been bought and sold by corporations and it's full of the same grey-and-beige "a man in a suit said this type of content does well with the junior high demographic" bullshit TV is. Except it's even dumber, and there are more predators.

U rite but Internet Anarchist's drawling uptalk pisses me off as well. Mf can't end a sentence without doing thiiiis, it comes across as condescendinnnnng. Seems like every video essayist has some annoying, unnatural quirk to their speech. Where do they get this from? Are they just regarded?

@vinsanity40k Way too many people have a blind spot for "people pleasers". People who need to be liked have a gaping hole in their soul. They have no personality, no morals, no loyalty. Rotten. But because they're "covert" narcissists, they get away with it for way too long.

2024 culture is so weird. It's simultaneously hypersexual and puritan. Hitting on a 17 year old as a dude in your 40s is weird but it's not pedophilia. In most countries the age of consent is below 17. Hell, it's below 17 in much of the USA. I mean we've got to the point where a 30 year old hitting on a 20 year old is literally rape because the prefrontal cortex age 25 yadda yadda yadda so where do we go from here? "She's literally pre-menopausal you sick fuck!"
