  1. I dont think he is back pedaling. He is responsible for overall public health and acting responsibly. Mumps/Measles, Rubella is a tried and true vaccine, as is Polio, whereby any side effects are rare to minimal. He is acknowledging that He also stresses that healthy children don't need vaccines. My mom says when a kid had chicken pox or measles, they did get the kids together. I had both and am alive and well, as were all the other kids. I think he is responding to an outbreak and doing do dilligence in reminding and encoraging vaccines as a good thing for those that are concerned. In any case, overall health is his duty, now. Not a political point.

  2. I don't think he's changing. His approach is to proceed with caution, ask questions, way risks, be informed.

  4.  @Sandy-j9b4x  Who are you talking to with the irritable "oh for God's sake"? I just said my mom and neighbors got their kids together when largely benign childhood diseases pop up. But, yeah, the vaccines are a time tested alternative.

  5.  @nicolethompson8613  I don't know about. Nonetheless, it was an always a crippling and often fatal disease, particularly with children. Since the vaccine, a thing of the past in America, at least.
