  1. Gosh this was terrific! I didn't remember the news's soul-searching after McCarthy until you spoke about it. But I certainly remember the news as it was, and it was wonderful. The nation was a mess (it always has been and always for different reasons) but we were mostly peaceful. Mostly. And not towards everyone. But mostly. And now not at all. Towards anyone.
