  2. Puerto Rico consistently votes statehood and independence down. Been doing so for YEARS. They like Commonwealth status. Reason #1 not to give it statehood: massive poverty. There's LOTS more, and they're easy to find.

  3. This is the good that happens when order is imposed. Imposed: that's the important word. No good is possible without order. ... but order can go to far and it's imposition can last too long. It'll be a few years before we know how El Salvador will turn out.

  4. This is why the mass media is sht: ever notice that they're ALL using the terms "colony, colonizer," etc? So a word never used in contemporary times is SUDDENLY the word to use to describe ANYTHING THEY WANT IT TO BE. They're all garbage.
