  1. The architecture has no relationship to the Bauhaus. It is far closer to Oscar Niemeyer's work on Brasil's new capital of Brasilia.

  3. ​ @timhazeltine3256 not entirely correct, as quite a few countries "recognized" by european colonial powers were later colonized by those same powers. Hawaii would never have remained independent.
