@imnotusingmyrealname4566 simpler is better . I would never use or pay attention to most of the features on expensive cars and they break and add weight to the car.

@awang_ir my manual transmission lasted over 172,000 miles in retrospect I should have got the replacement done once it got up to about 165,000 Miles

The NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) is looking into reports of power loss in Nissan Versa vehicles with manual transmissions. Owners have reported instances where their cars stall and go into limp mode, resulting in limited torque and an inability to maintain speed or accelerate above 30mph. These incidents have occurred both on highways and in city traffic. Owner complaints suggest that the power loss occurs when the clutch is released too quickly or for other reasons. Once the car goes into limp mode, a restart is required to reset the computer and restore normal function. WHICH MODELS ARE AFFECTED? The investigation covers Nissan Versa vehicles from the model years 2022 to 2024. Specifically, it focuses on those with manual transmissions. Versa models with automatic transmissions are omitted.

This Nissan versa is far smaller than the versa of 2016 they reduced the ground clearance from 6.8 inches in 2023 to 5 inches in2024 don't buy this car

Imagine an electronic parking brake failing and a car rolling away.. less is better.. less means there is less that will break

I had to replace control arms five times maybe it's because I live near a lot of potholes maybe it's because they're built out of aluminum instead of steel?

The 2023 model had a 6.8 in ground clearance the 2024 model has a 5-inch ground clearance I am so sorry I did not buy a 2023 model..
1
The ground clearance for the 2024 is 5 inches unlike the 2023 which was 6.8 or the 2016 with 7 inches .do not buy this car because of the low ground clearance and the limping issues that someone else mentioned here
1
The 2023 model had a 6.8-inch ground clearance the 2024 has a 5-inch ground clearance and there is something wrong that's limping in this car I thought it was a forward collision feature when I made a sharp turn I lost power and I thought I was having a transmission problem

The Jetta has a timing belt which will snap the versa has a timing chain which will not snap
1
Manuals are not that bad in stop and go traffic it prevents road rage because of the need to focus on shifting instead of flooring the gas pedal and the cars with 300 horsepower those are the ones that are involved in rear enders in stop and go traffic
1
@DustinDeweerd massive regrets.. the ground clearance is 5 inches for 2024 it was 6.8 inches in 2023 and 7 in in 2016 and I lost power making a sharp turn I don't know if it was a collision feature but it felt like I lost power in the transmission

Don't buy this car because the ground clearance is 5 inches even lower than a Coroll.a the ground clearance in the 2023 was 6.8 in it was 7 inches for the 2016. the 5-inch ground clearance is a reason not to buy this car
1
The 2024 model is tiny compared to a 2014 to 2016 models ..don't buy this car the ground clearance is down to 5 inches it was 7 inches in in 2016
1
They ruined the manual version by reducing the ground clearance from 6.8 in on a 2023 to 5 in on a 2024 making this car very low to the ground reducing the height of the car making it seem like a Mitsubishi mirage instead of a Nissan versa
1
You're exactly right I had a 2016 Nissan versa I still have it.. I replaced five control arms . I bought a 2024 versa not knowing the ground clearance was reduced to 5 inches ..it was 6.8 inches in 2023 and it was 7 inches and 2016 this is the first car I ever bought that I regretted
1
I put way too much money in the my versa having it over 8 years I put in five control arms a sway bar a new catalytic converter maybe the technician lied.. I had a new tailpipe but the engine is still good and I never had to put in a starter
1
I bought a 2007 Kia Rio brand new someone collided into it at 147,500 miles and the Kia Rio had very few repairs at 147,000 mi compared to my Nissan versa at 147,000 mi.. the versa lasted to 178,000 mi before the clutch went out I put in a new clutch which lasted 5000 miles to 183,000 miles and decided I'm going to sell it to a junk yard . I put way too much money in my versa I assumed it was because of the potholes and bad roads where I lived or a mechanic who lied about needing repairs
1
The radio in the 2024 barely gets reception on am or FM unlike the 2016 versa. the power locks In the 2024 are sickening they will lock you out of your car unlike the manual locks and manual windows in the 2016.. yet they did not put heated mirrors something that I would actually use and benefit from
1
Even the manual has the sickening power locks that will lock you out of your car causing you to break a door handle whether from the outside or a passenger breaking the door handle from the inside yet Nissan stupidly did not put heated mirrors on this vehicle but it should have got rid of the power locks and got rid of the power windows and had manual locks and manual windows
1
This video completely left out the fact that the ground clearance was reduced significantly from 6.8 inches to 5 in making this car very low to the ground where the headlights of trucks and SUVs are on your head making you feel very vulnerable ..I would not buy this vehicle because of that.. a very stupid and sneaky thing that Nissan did
1
They lowered the ground clearance down to 5 in from 6.8 and the headlights of trucks and SUVs are right behind you on your head making you feel very vulnerable and you're going to hit potholes and scrape the underbelly of your car.. they ruined the versa
1

@danwake4431 hopefully the tow truck driver can jump start the car to disengage the electronic parking brake
1
The versa has a timing chain which will not break you need to check if the forte has a timing chain or timing belt . if it has a timing belt you got the problem of changing that belt every 60,000 miles because if it's snaps you got major engine damage.. I decided against a Volkswagen Jetta because they stupidly still put timing belts on them
