@stevey9282 147 countries have officially condemned the invasion and are demanding an immediate withdrawal. Only 7 countries in the world openly support Russia's aggression. Not a single democracy among them.

@applepie58 Super rich? The average salary in Russia is a quarter of the average salary in the EU. And the average life expectancy for men in the EU is 77 years. The average life expectancy for men in Russia was just 66 years in 2022.

On the contrary, it is. Not just for us but for every democracy and the entire free world.

@cromagnon201 Then NATO should thank Putin for finally being able to persuade Sweden and Finland to join NATO after generations of neutrality. Truly NATO's best salesman

@jayakumarkaarikuzhy4713 In the Budapest Memodandum, Russia gave Ukraine written security guarantees that it would never become the target of military or economic aggression. Ukraine believed Russia and gave back all nuclear weapons. But they won't fall for it again.

@RoboticPope Indeed, even Azov’s personnel are mostly Russian-speaking and come from all parts of Ukraine. Brigade commander Denys Prokopenko was born in Kyiv, chief of staff Bohdan Krotevych is a Crimean, and deputy brigade commander Sviatoslav Palamar is from Lviv. Many Azov residents were born in the eastern regions of Ukraine: Mariupol, Donetsk, and Kharkiv. However, such diversity does not prevent the Azov fighters from fighting for every meter of Ukrainian land.

Good argument, that must be the reason why men in Norway officially have an average life expectancy of over 80 years. Wait...

...so... that means that it is nine times cheaper to live the same in Congo.... and since they get to live so good... they may indulge more and cut a few years away...

@jayakumarkaarikuzhy4713 This is not an answer to my question what the document is called, who signed it and what the sources are.
2
@jayakumarkaarikuzhy4713 What was the name of the agreement with Gorbachev and which presidents signed it?

@nikhilsharma1359 Ukraine was neutral when Putin sent his soldiers to Ukraine in 2014.

"I tried to call the President of Russia today. The answer was: silence. But there should be silence in Donbass. Therefore, today I would like to address all citizens of Russia. Not as president. I address the citizens of Russia as citizens of Ukraine. We are separated by a border more than 2,000 kilometers long. Your troops are now stationed along this entire border - almost 200,000 soldiers, thousands of combat vehicles. The leadership of your country has ordered you to advance into the territory of another country. This may be the beginning of a major war on the European continent." Volodymyr Zelensky 23.2.2022

There was no peace agreement that Boris Johnson would have prevented. Only Russia surrender demands for neutrality, change of government and demilitarization of Ukraine. These are still the demands of the Kremlin and they are still being rejected by Kyiv. These demands would mean the end of the existence of the Ukraine. In the Budapest Memodandum, Russia gave Ukraine written security guarantees that it would never become the target of military or economic aggression. Ukraine believed Russia and gave up all its nuclear weapons. But they won't fall for it again.

@trickpony409 But thanks, that's the best explanation I've heard so far. In Monaco, people are simply too poor to indulge themselves anymore, which is why they have to endure to live over 90 years on average.

"Ukraine and Georgia have the right to join NATO...That is their choice. We respect the right of every state - including our neighbors - to choose their own partners, to decide for themselves which organization they want to join." Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the German Handelsblatt published on January 2, 2005

In 2022 and now in 2025, Russia demanded neuterality, change of government and demilitarization and Ukraine rejected then as now because neuterality means that Ukraine is no longer allowed to accept help in future invasions and demilitarization means that it is no longer even allowed to defend itself. Like a burglar who occupies a room and demands that the house owner not call the police or even defend himself. There was no peace treaty that Boris Johnson would have prevented. Because the Russian demands then and now remain unchanged and unacceptable.

@clarencemaseko428 Yes, neutrality and demilitarization. Neutrality means that nobody is allowed to help Ukraine in the future, but neutrality and demilitarization together mean that it is not even allowed to defend itself in the future. No nation in the world would accept such a demand to completely sacrifice itself. It is simply bizarre to call these one-sided demands (which have not changed to this day) a “peace treaty”.

@diogenesegarden5152 "I triggered the Donbas conflict when I led a group of armed Russian militants to take Sloviansk in April 2014." Former Russian separatist leader Igor Vsevolodovich Girkin Moscow Times, 21 November 2014

@diogenesegarden5152 Nobody shelled anyone in Donbas until the Russians invaded in 2014 and started doing that. Since then, Ukraine has been defending itself.

@domestique3954 You forgot about the Bugatti that, according to the Russian media, he bought until Bugatti itself proved that there was never a purchase and that the purchase documents were forged.

@1seacreature Nuclear weapons are in Kaliningard inside NATO...
1
@1seacreature And Russia has also stationed nuclear weapons in Belarus.
1
@1seacreature Not to mention Russian nuclear weapons in Kaliningrad in NATO..

@RoboticPope By the way, the "dictator" Zelensky has offered to resign immediately if Ukraine receives real security guarantees in return. Something Putin wouldn't even dream of doing after 25 years of rule.

@clarencemaseko428 The security of the neighbor who doesn't stop invading smaller neighbors?

@clarencemaseko428 Russian wishful thinking for 1090 days.

@hughslevin7120 Is this the reason why the Finns report that the Russian military presence on their border has decreased significantly since Finland joined NATO and has not been this low in years?
1
@1seacreature In Europe. Just like the former Eastern Bloc states that have been begging ever since to be accepted into NATO in order to be protected from renewed oppression from the East.
