Many condemn the Houthis for firing drones and missiles at merchant ships, while in Yemen, according to the UN, 85,000 children have starved to death and 2 million children are malnourished due to their conflict. But I think this accusation is too severe because the Houthis are, after all, the biggest employer for children in Yemen who still have enough strength to hold a weapon.

@oldguy217 The Hamas knew very well what would happen after October 7th and they prepared for it with huge bunkers and tunnel systems. But only for themselves. In Israel, bunkers and tunnels are used to protect the civilian population. In Gaza, the tunnels and bunkers are used to hide under the civilian population.

@ilonao8864 Indeed, unfortunately the Houthis have thrown out all Western aid organizations that wanted to fight the famine in Yemen.

@mna7308 The US started the Houthi conflict? No, the US definitely messed up in Afghanistan and Iraq, but in Yemen they are innocent.

@a_gent99 And we can all see the numerous child soldiers that the Houthis use.
2
@haledhajdari1154 Yes, I wish them nothing but a safe childhood, healthy nutrition, education, good career opportunities and a democratic future. Unfortunately, wherever radical Islamist groups like the Houthis rule, they only get the opposite.

@ilonao8864 Indeed, unfortunately the Houthis have thrown out all Western aid organizations that wanted to fight the famine in Yemen. And the Arabs don't help because they don't care about civilians if they can't use them for a Muslim victim card like in Gaza.

@a_gent99 What lies? These are the official numbers used by the United Nations and Human Rights Watch.

@mna7308 Oh, and so the USA is the villain because they are funding an evil Arab regime? And Iran is funding Hamas and the Houthis... So who is the good guy in this proxy war? Is there any?
1
@oldguy217 Yes, and who tells you about the 26,000 civilian casualties in Gaza? That's right, Hamas's "health care" publishes these numbers while hiding in their tunnels under their civilian population.

@oldguy217 Hamas wants collateral damage, they want the entire world to condemn Israel. That's why they started October 7th because they knew how Israel would react. And they got their Muslim victim card. The Houthis are only phase 2 of Iran's plan to involve the USA in a war against as many Arab nations as possible in order to unite the Arab world against the West.

@mna7308 99.6% of the Middle East is occupied by Muslim nations. And yet the Muslims complain that the Jews occupy 0.4% of it even though they have lived there for over 3000 years.

@comingviking Do you know the history of the Arab-Israeli War, the Six-Day War or the Yom Kippur War? Israel's neighboring Muslim nations have united against Israel several times and still lost. If they had won we could talk about a real genocide but that is another matter. Hamas' declared goal is the destruction of Israel. But Hamas also knows that they would never be able to do that. I think it wasn't just about using October 7th to lure the Israelis into the Gaza Strip in order to humiliate them there. I think Hamas knew and wanted from the beginning that sooner or later people would start talking about a genocide regarding Gaza. They wanted the victim card and maximum outrage against Israel for renewed Arab unity against Israel. The Hamas leaders have themselves complained that the Arab nations should help them more. They probably wanted a humanitarian catastrophe to unite the Arab nations for another Yom Kippur war against Israel. And Iran is behind everything and is pulling its strings.
1
@haledhajdari1154 No, I only see Iran pulling the strings behind Hamas and the Houthis as it wants to entangle Israel in a new 6-day war against all its neighbors while dragging the USA into as many local conflicts as possible.

@haledhajdari1154 No, I just see Iran pulling the strings behind Hamas and the Houthis as it wants to entangle Israel in a new 6-day "conflict" against all its neighbors while dragging the USA into as many local conflicts as possible...

@haledhajdari1154 The last time Israel's neighbors joined forces was 51 years ago. At that time, Egypt and Syria were fighting supported by Libya, Jordan, Sudan, Algeria and Morocco together against Israel and lost, just like in the 6 day war. I think October 7th was the start of a new attempt and the Houthis and Iranian-backed rebel groups in Syria and Iraq are supposed to distract the Americans.

@haledhajdari1154 I think October 7th was just the starting signal of a new attempt to unite forces against Israel and the Houthis and Iranian-backed rebel groups in Syria and Iraq are supposed to distract the Americans in the meantime.

@comingviking I read your answer before it was shadowbanned. Youtube censorship is a catastrophe. But I think Israel won't lose this time either. If so, we will see what Hamas and Israel's neighbors mean by the "destruction of Israel". Then we no longer have to argue about what genocide is.
1
@haledhajdari1154 Oh and finally, I tend to see radical religions as the root of all evil in the Middle East. How can there ever be peace as long as radical settlers believe they are settling the holy land that God has promised them and radical Muslims believe they will come to paradise as marthyrs in their holy war? Only through education but not in the next 5 generations.
