The Israeli army is one of the few armies in the world that always warns civilians with a so-called roof knocking. A missile without a warhead is fired at the target, giving the civilians in the building 3-5 minutes to leave before it is destroyed with conventional missiles. Sometimes there are even text messages or phone calls asking whether there are still civilians in the building. Israel is really trying to avoid civilian casualties. Hamas is really trying to maximize civilian casualties. That is the difference.

@surendarsingh6395 Yes, but on the contrary, Hamas hopes that there will be as many Palestinian civilian deaths as possible. They knew exactly how Israel would react. Hamas hopes that the suffering of "its" population will draw other Arab nations into the war. Every Palestinian, whether man, woman or child, is cannon fodder for their holy fight against Israel.

@babuvangu7220 Debuked by what propaganda? Just search roof knocking. You will find numerous videos from Palestinian perspectives on this. The Israelis have been doing it this way for decades.

@BenRover2961 I never spoke of clean hands. The Israeli army has caused a lot of collateral damage that could also be defined as war crimes, but they are trying to minimize this collateral damage. Hamas is trying to maximize this kind of collateral damage. Fuel, food, drinking water and medicine also came to Gaza from Israel and not from Gaza to Israel.

@mohammedashfaq8329 The Israelis don't fire on peaceful apartment buildings and hospitals for no reason. If I decide to live under the same roof with terrorists, it can get ugly if someone defends themselves against them. Israel did not start this war. I wouldn't love it if I got a call like that, but I would never get one. I would never allow my family to live in such a hopeless place of violence. I would have emigrated decades ago, let alone have children in this nightmare. Many have also moved to Germany where Palestinians have celebrated the massacres of Israeli civilians in the last few days. The Bundestag is currently discussing whether Germany should again pay 340 million Euro in development aid to the Palestinians. Because the aid money is obviously used there to buy weapons rather than to provide food the population...

@melodysar1633 It's not just Hamas/Iran that thinks coolly and strategically. I am sure that there were elements in the Israeli army and Mossad who had long wanted something bad to happen, which allowed them to take even the most radical countermeasures. With this supposedly surprising attack by Hamas, all moderate voices have now fallen silent and the most radical voices have won. Only one possibility, but perhaps both sides gambled too high.
