@Larisa-x7s8v You don't have the name of this treaty or the politicians involved, sources for the documents or images? Nothing? That's a shame, but take comfort in the fact that Gorbachev also publicly stated several times that such a treaty never existed...

@Larisa-x7s8v You didn't answer my question. But as a European, I don't really care about Russian bases in Cuba and Mexico. Guess what, Russia already has nuclear warheads in Kaliningrad in the middle of NATO and I don't care about that either. Russia has double standards and threatens every week, not the West.

@alexanderbuza564 Because NATO is the most successful defense alliance in history and provides security for almost a billion residents. There has not been a single war on NATO soil in over 75 years. That's what defense alliances are all about. All Eastern European democracies have been begging NATO for decades to be allowed to become members in order to be protected. Ukraine would also like to be protected from invasion by an imperialist neighbor at some point...
