Iran uses computer chip optics and generally technology from advanced states to build weapons for its Stone Age Mullah regime. But Iran itself is not making any constructive contribution to civilization. No quantum computers, normal computers, electric cars, stem cell research, nuclear fusion research, nothing. Just warmongering and weapons production.

@el-Conde-MonteCristo Today's mullah regime has about as much in common with ancient Iran as Turkey does with Göbekli Tepe. And what do you mean by longevity, in terms of nations or biological life expectancy? AI is already being used in genetic engineering and biogerontology to develop new active ingredients.
