It was about time, then they can go home now.

Indeed.. "Ukraine and Georgia have the right to join NATO...That is their choice. We respect the right of every state - including our neighbors - to choose their own partners, to decide for themselves which organization they want to join." Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the German Handelsblatt published on January 2, 2005

Do you mean the retreat game in Syria?

@akotmadol9799 As a European, that doesn't really matter to me at all. But Russia has had nuclear weapons in the midst of NATO in Kaliningrad for years. In truth, the Kremlin are once again applying double standards and the West is reacting calmly to the constant threats.

@akotmadol9799 You mean Belarus?...

@hermanheunes7803 NATO would no longer exist if Russia weren't such a miserable neighbor with colonialist ambitions. For decades, Eastern European democracies that suffered under the Soviet Union have been begging to be accepted into NATO in order to be protected from invasion. There has been no invasion or war on NATO soil for over 75 years. That's the promise everyone wants. Putin even persuaded Sweden and Finland, after generations of neutrality, to also prefer this security. Ukraine also wants this security guarantee to no longer be invaded. That's all. Putin is NATO's best salesman.

@akotmadol9799 Indeed, then you should know how the governments in Europe react to the Belarusian military alliance with Russia. We pity the population as we do with every dictatorship and hope that they manage to free themselves and become a prosperous, free and democratic country.

@hermanheunes7803 Russia is simply upset that the number of neighbors it can invade without consequences has continued to decline for decades.

@akotmadol9799 As a European, that doesn't really matter to me at all. But Russia has had also nuclear weapons in the middle of NATO in Kaliningrad for years and yet no one here is hysterical about it either. We just don't care. In truth, the Russians are once again applying double standards and the West is reacting calmly to the unwavering Kremlin threats. Eastern hypocrisy.

@gabrieleguerrisi4335 I don't give a fk about Russian nukes and where they are, the Kremlin's constant impotent threats just bore me. I am over 500 km away from the next strategic target in Ramstein. Unfortunately, the West has too much patience and never responds to the threats. Oh, and Russia is not an oligarchy, you hypocrite? The Third Reich was not peaceful inside but critics were constantly persecuted and had accidents just like in Putin's Russia today.

@gabrieleguerrisi4335 "I'm sure Putin is richer than me." Elon Musk Many countries have a mafia but in Russia the mafia has a country...

@gabrieleguerrisi4335 I don't care who loses to whom because I consider nations to be collective delusions. But we have a Ukrainian refugee in our guest room... And I recognize absolute evil when it becomes obvious like it was 80 years ago. And again today... Z

Is it very rational to threaten the West with nuclear strikes week after week for years?
