Comments by "Fabian Schrötter" (@fabianschrotter) on "Elon Musk Helping Putin's Military Against Zelensky's Army? Ukraine's Starlink Bombshell | Watch" video.
A number of false news reports claim that SpaceX is selling Starlink terminals to Russia. This is categorically false. Elon Musk Starlink is blocked in Russia but it probably works in the occupied territories. Due to a lack of their own technology, the Russians are trying to buy Starlink terminals through middlemen. Pretty embarrassing for an alleged superpower.

I'm sure Putin is even smaller than Zelensky.
2
@chamarachan What's so smart about pushing formerly neutral countries Sweden and Finland into NATO when he is supposedly against the alliance expanding?
2
SpaceX does not do business of any kind with the Russian Government or its military. Starlink is not active in Russia, meaning service will not work in that country. SpaceX has never sold or marketed Starlink in Russia, nor has it shipped equipment to locations in Russia. If Russian stores are claiming to sell Starlink for service in that country, they are scamming their customers. Starlink also does not operate in Dubai. Starlink cannot be purchased in Dubai nor does SpaceX ship there. Additionally, Starlink has not authorized any third-party intermediaries, resellers or distributors of any kind to sell Starlink in Dubai. If SpaceX obtains knowledge that a Starlink terminal is being used by a sanctioned or unauthorized party, we investigate the claim and take actions to deactivate the terminal if confirmed. Official statement from Starlink

No Starlink is for everyone except Russia. 😂 "A number of false news reports claim that SpaceX is selling Starlink terminals to Russia. This is categorically false." Elon Musk

@dillonventola408 He doesn't lie about everything, only Putin does that. Starlink does not work in Russia, otherwise Elon Musk himself would be sanctioned. But it probably works in the occupied territories and the Russians are trying to buy terminals in Dubai. Of course he doesn't say that
1
@dillonventola408 I'm not in a cult, but I applaud his pioneering work to make humanity a multi-planetary civilization. On the other hand, I despise his attitude towards Russia.

1
@dillonventola408 Yes, you're right, but I've never been at X and never will be. He is partly telling the truth about Starlink. It is not active in Russia otherwise he would probably be sanctioned himself, but it probably works in the separatist areas and Nieland can prevent the Russians from acquiring terminals through middlemen.
1
@dillonventola408 X will probably no longer exist in 10 years if he continues like this, but people on Mars is a permanent step for humanity.
1
@dillonventola408 Yes, turning off Starlink during the Ukrainian drone attack on the Black Sea Fleet probably indirectly cost hundreds of Ukrainian lives. But I don't think he has a plan to help Putin, he's just ignorant because he doesn't have time to get a picture. Every person is a fool in the areas he is not familiar with and Elon Musk is a historical and humanistic fool but a brilliant rocket builder.

1
@dillonventola408 His views on artificial intelligence or on Nick Bostrom's simulation hypothesis... I still refuse to accept that someone whose worldview matches mine in so many ways is an absolute asshole.
1
@dillonventola408 But yes, turning off Starlink during the Ukrainian drone raid on the Black Sea Fleet probably indirectly cost hundreds of Ukrainian lives. I really don't think he has a plan to help Putin, he's just ignorant because he doesn't have time to get a picture.
1
@dillonventola408 Yes, I am aware of the fact that Starlink was switched off during the Ukrainian drone attack on the Black Sea Fleet, which spared many ships that are now bombarding civilian infrastructure and residential buildings and I will never forgive him for that. But I don't think he has a plan to help Putin, he's just ignorant because he doesn't have time to figure it out. He is ignorant, not evil.

@dillonventola408 Yes, I understand that turning off Starlink during the Ukrainian drone raid on the Black Sea Fleet spared many ships that are now targeting civilian infrastructure and residential buildings and I will never forgive him for that.

Putin is a dictator wanted for genocide in the Hague. Elon Musk doesn't want to lose his reputation and therefore denies doing business with someone like that

@vismaraluisa1523 You mean Putin right? Sacrificing hundreds of thousands of Russians in a neighboring country just to force Sweden and Finland into NATO as new members is beyond stupidity.
1
I'm sure Putin is even smaller than Zelensky. And of course Elon Musk defends himself against the accusation of helping a Dictator. "A number of false news reports claim that SpaceX is selling Starlink terminals to Russia. This is categorically false." Elon Musk

@chamarachan What's intelligent about pumping 40 percent of the national budget into a senseless war and forcing formerly neutral countries like Sweden and Finland into NATO?

Maybe you didn't understand that it's about Starlink terminals for the Russian units at the front? Either you have the hardware or you don't, hacking has nothing to do with it.
1
Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, but you can't hack anything if you don't have a satellite dish and especially not at the front. The Russians simply bought a few terminals in Dubai and registered them under false names. These do not work in Russia but apparently in the occupied territories in Ukraine.
1
But of course Russia is trying to get mobile internet because they are too technologically backward for that.
