According to information from Tehran, a general from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) was killed after the Israeli air strike in the Syrian capital Damascus that completely destroyed the Iranian embassy. Mohammad Reza Sahedi, a brigadier general in the IRGC's foreign unit, died on Monday, Iran's state broadcaster reported. Later that evening, the killing of his deputy was also confirmed.
