  1. So, last night I hooked up my tiller to my tractor and decided to check the gearbox, it was very low on gear oil. Being late and having no gear oil I looked around for a substitute. I considered mixing ATF and bearing grease thinking maybe the combination would turn into a thick oil and work in the tiller, there was no beer involved. After pondering this I decided to wait until I could get the gear oil. I thought maybe you could do some kind of test on mixing grease and different oils and see if any of them would work. Just an idea for you, love the videos!

  16. No, after 20years working on cars I cannot confirm this rumor I heard in tech school. I am using Mobil 1 high mileage in every vehicle I own and no new leaks. sample 2 here.

  18. The last test should have been a 24hr soak in a pail of water to test water resistance. That is a key to these devices, durability, not speed.

  19. As far as Snap On tools go, they are not made for hobbyists or casual mechanics they are made for professionals that work their tools to death. What you are paying for with Snap on is the big truck that shows up every week and gives you a brand new tool to replace your worn out or broken tool with no questions asked and no more effort then walking out to the truck to exchange it. Snap on tools do not really belong in these tests as they are not competing with big box brands or cheap internet junk Made in China. Snap On does source from China, at least they do for their Blue Point brand, which is a great brand for home and generally carries the same warranty. I do know what globally sourced means, and we need to rid our vocabulary of that phrase as it is not beneficial to American workers.

  20. If oil became corrosive, then if you undercoated your vehicle with any kind of petroleum you would need to thoroughly was it once a year, before you undercoat it again. How stupid does that sound? Petroleum undercoating will rot your vehicle out!
