The historical revisionism is insane aswell when it comes to how Islam spread and how the Muslims treated the populations they conquered. It was absolutely not hunky-dory. They were far from how Cyrus treated conquered people. The Muslims were not religiously tolerant whatsoever. They were ruthless. They subjugated the people if they didn't convert to Islam. They were made to be second class citizens with few rights, heavy taxation, and humiliated to remind them of that (sometimes with designated attire like the Jews in the holocaust). Also, they enslaved women and children of their enemies. And if that slave woman had a child? Then that child was born under bondage to be a slave too. But sure, the Romans were the evil ones. The Muslims were the misunderstood, good guys....give me a frickin break lol
