  1. The idea is that banning them reduces their numbers in circulation. We banned guns (aside from rare exceptions) and that worked to reduce gun crime dramatically, despite criminals still acquiring a gun here and there (usually rusty ones from ww2)

  2.  @PaulMalone-pm8qk  It happens and is reported on. Not as often as knife crimes though. Up north especially there is more gun crime
