A failed state with next to no government, constant division between different clans and even sub-clans, and a global diaspora who fled it. So let's first establish why you think that I'm aware of the flaws with democracy but every system has flaws, even your beloved monarchy. That being said, democracy is the fairest system conceived. Tell me how monarchy is more fair. Or do you not value fairness? Also, it's easy to pick out a case example to undermine a system altogether. I could do the same and say America is an example of what happens when you ditch a monarchy and become a republic. They are way more prosperous and powerful than the UK in almost every way, and have been for a while.

So "free speech" seems a bit of a misnomer I think the idea behind free speech is fundamentally that one should be allowed to criticise or even insult the government or any ideology openly without fear of legal repercussions. That I will always support But then you have misinformation, defamation, incitement to violence, and in this case, promoting terrorism. This is where we get into murky waters
