@tajtagore4117 Islam does not encourage questioning much. It encourages learning, specifically about Islamic fields - things like aqeedah, fiqh, fusha arabic, etc. It does not encourage questioning the veracity of the religion itself. You're eventually going be told its just waswās (whispers from the devil) and to seek refuge from Allah from those doubts lmao. Or get called a kafir and potentially worse depending on where you live

@tajtagore4117 The hadith doesn't mention desertion or treason. It's simply for not following Islam anymore. Scholars unanimously agree on this, not that the meaning of "whoever changes his religion, kill him" is ambiguous in the first place. Apostasy is a capital offence. You get 3 days to repent and then your head rolls. Denying this is disingenuous

@tajtagore4117 If you aren't convinced of an answer and persist with more questions, that doesn't necessarily mean you're acting in bad faith. It could just mean the answers are crap. Hence why some decide they've heard enough and they leave. "The prophet would not bash people going down the wrong path" Bruh, he literally ordered to kill people who stop believing wdym 💀
