  4. Try groundwork... in trenches all day, all weathers, heavy lifting and hand digging in thick clay, slop and rock sometimes...even worse old industrial backfill. A lot of the gaffers will be ex military or ex cons that bullied and blagged their way into their position. I did it for 30 years, it will either make or break you.
