There's no excuse for eating any animal if you can choose not to. I never said anything about torturing dogs, nor do I condone it. Don't put words in people's mouth. However if you raise specific dog like livestock in mass quantities for the sole purpose of food, whether you like it or not, dogs will be another livestock. What these Asian countries doing to dog is wrong. They need to be more like Americans, mass producing dogs like cattle.
